Comments:

I had my Bat Mitzah in the year 2000.
I did the "Avon Breast Cancer Walk" a few days before I was 6o years old.
And I have been traveling around the States on a Motorcycle. I sit behind my Husband on the cycle. No, I don't drive my own and I can't ride my Husband's (it is to big for me to straddle). If we had more room in the garage, I would purchase a "Spyder" (trike).
I have been Married for 53 years to my best friend...even though he graduated from Evanston High School.
I will always be thankful to Elaine Hirsch Cornbleet for fixing me up on a blind date with Fred.

Do you have a favorite school story or a funny memory?

The 4 years were a bit tough for me since I was never aware that I had "ADD" and dyslexia. (My sensitive (?) husband used to say that I had my own disease, which he named "ditzetsia" - being ditzy.)
I was lucky to have so many special and good friends.
When I looked around at the football field after graduation and saw my classmates, some from elementary school, I really felt bad that so many of these friends will be going into so many directions and I will never see some of them again.
This is the reason I love these Reunions because we get together and talk and no one cares if you're successful, just that you're at the reunion.
Hope to see all of you at the next reunion.
And my "funny story".....I had my Prom photo taken after I had been swimming in gym class, no hair drying...just a drippy ponytail!
And standing outside in the center of the school wearing a towel around my head and one around my body during a "Fire Drill". I would need many more towels now!

What would your 1964 self have to say to your present day self?

That I made a lot of good choices thru the years and I know I have learned from my mistakes. "Shelly you did Fine"!

What is on your bucket list?

Traveling more.
Enjoying retirement.
Keeping healthy and strong
Seeing my Grandkids grow up and becoming successful adults.
Remembering more things to put on this list.

What is your special motto?

"Eat it today...wear it tomorrow!"

What do you consider your greatest achievement?

Raising 2 great kids and enjoying there children.

Well you can now join the group of knee replacements. What knee is it? I am sorry you have to go through this. Look forward to PT. I know it is painful but but it helps in getting the knee moving and you moving. Keep in touch.

Another years and I still haven’t see you. The other day I found a few photos of my sweet sixteen party and you are in some photos. I would like to email them to you. Fred and I passed by our old neighborhood on Kirk st. Where did the time go? Have you thought about a trip back home? My Mother is 102 now and she isn’t in the greatest health. I know she would love to see you again. It would be nice to see you again.
I hope you have a nice Birthday. Miss you.

I was thinking of you the other day when I was telling Mom (102) that you remembered my father’s “HAM ANTENNA” on the back of his cat. What was your interaction with my Father?
I wanted to also wish you an upcoming birthday. It would be nice if you could get back to me.

Well you finally caught up with me. Being 77 will bring some new aches and pains. Getting older isn’t for sissies. I hope you and your family are doing fine and that you are enjoying your new house. I am still waiting for the photos. I hope you will have a nice birthday with your family. When we get back to our house we will be taking my Mother out for her 102nd birthday. Love to all Shelly

Well, it is better to be early than late so, here are my Birthday Wishes to you. I knew you in High School high school. I remember watching you on the swim team. I do remember being a hall monitor sitting outside of your Chemistry class and all the lovely "smells" that were created by your classmates. That was then, now I know the adult Rick and he has turned into a very special guy. I am so happy to call you my special friend. Have a very terrific Birthday.
